Paul Lecomte studied under Emile Lambinet and exhibited in the Paris Salon from 1868 onwards. He painted mainly in Ile-de-France, Btittany and Normandy. His painting, "Le Pont Neuf" exhibited in Paris Salon, 1877 is now in the Mulhouse museum.
